FAQ Courses Levels etc.
-
How do you gauge my level of Spanish?
As soon as we receive your registration, we send you a level test by e-mail which you must complete and return to us so that we can assign you a place in the appropriate group. You can also find the level test on our web page.
Can I change level or group?
If your level is clearly higher or lower than that of the rest of your group, you will be moved to another one.
-
What is the class timetable?
The course consists of four 45-minute classes per day, with a short break between them. Classes start at 9.00 and finish at 15.30.
-
What is the average age of the students?
Most of our pupils are between the ages of 19 and 35, though it is not uncommon to find older students perfectly at home in the groups.
-
What is the minimum age required to attend a LEXIS course?
We accept pupils from the age of 16 with parental permission.
-
Are there classes on public holidays?
No classes are taught on public holidays. If a public holiday falls on a Sunday, Monday is declared a holiday in accordance with the work calendar. If your course begins on such a Monday, your first class will be on Tuesday.
The following are public holidays: 01-07/01, 28/02, 20-21/03, 01/05, 15-19/08, 08/09, 13/10, 08/12 -
Are classes not given due to public holidays compensated for?
There are no price reductions for missed classes, but we do make up a class day where two public holidays fall in the same week (e.g. Easter or the week of Malaga Fair). In such cases, in addition to classes we organise trips out with the teachers and/or other activities designed to compensate for the classes lost.
-
Does the school open at Christmas?
The school does not close at Christmas.
How far in advance must I register?
There are no deadlines for registration, but we recommend you register as early as possible, particularly in the high season (July to September) and at Easter.
